The ASCE Student Chapter DUET, the first ASCE Student Chapter in Bangladesh, was established in 2012 to promote excellence in civil engineering education and holistic student development. The chapter organizes academic and technical programs, workshops, seminars, and professional activities to strengthen industry–academia collaboration and cultivate responsible future leaders.
Recent Activities:
The ASCE DUET Student Chapter recently organized CEvilization Season 2, a
premier national mega-event in collaboration with the Department of Civil
Engineering. This dynamic platform brought together students from various
universities across the country, with over 600 participants, through
technical and creative challenges, fostering a culture of innovation and
healthy competition.
The chapter also actively facilitates practical learning and professional development for its members. A hands-on learning field visit at a construction site was recently conducted. Seminars were organized on data-driven machine learning applications in civil engineering, seismic-resilient structures, truss design, and other relevant topics. Additionally, within the university, Trimendous 1.0 was hosted, serving as an effective platform for students to demonstrate their technical skills and creativity.
