The department of Mathematics of Dhaka University of Engineering and Technology, Gazipur has started journey as an independent department since 1980. The department has nine faculty members and two supporting staffs.

The department offers undergraduate courses of mathematics to various engineering disciplines to gather the basic knowledge of mathematics for engineering purposes. Mathematics department has introduced Postgraduate programme in the year 2009-2010.
