The  Department  of  Chemistry  is  one  of the non-degree awarding  departments  at  DUET, Gazipur .  It offers  wide range  of  courses  to  cater  for  the  sound  background of Chemistry  at  undergraduate  levels  for   students  of  all branches  of  engineering  .  It  also  offers  course   on environmental Chemistry for M. Engg. students of CE Dept. The courses are designed to equip students for a career in engg. The Dept. has laboratory facilities to give first hand knowledge  of  different  experiments based on theoretical courses. The  introduction  of M. Phil and Ph.D. programme is underway in near future.Five competent faculty members and  two  supporting  staffs  currently  run the Department. The DUET,Gazipur has embarked on a project of expanding the Dept. to meet the demand of increased student intake and planned inception of Chemical Engg. Dept. soon.
