I am currently working as an Assistant Professor of Civil Engineering at DUET, Gazipur. My teaching profession started in June 2012 as a Lecturer of Civil Engineering, DUET and since then I have dedicated myself to acquiring knowledge that helps me maximize my efforts to educate my students with the state of the art of structural engineering. My research primarily focuses on developing tools and knowledge base that not only address resilience (seismic/wind) but also the pressing need of sustainability (related to climate change). I am fully motivated to train and educate the next generations of engineers with the state of the art knowledge on structural engineering to build the infrastructures (buildings, bridges, highways, railways, waterways, water/sewage lines, power systems etc.) sustainably.

  • Evaluation of the performance of posttensioned CLT rocking wall system as a lateral load resisting system for seismic resistant CLT construction through laboratory testing.
  • Evaluation of performance of an oval shape energy dissipater (O-connector) for jointed wall system and establish the design equations.
  • Experimental evaluation of the performance of CLT-Light Wood Frame Shear Wall hybrid system as an economical lateral load resisting system for buildings.
  • Developed a novel connection system for non-rectangular CLT walls incorporating ultra-high-performance concrete (UHPC) and self-tapping screws.
  • Experimental determination of dynamic behavior of a small scale 3-story steel building under El Centro, Northridge and Loma Prieta earthquake records and analytical verification of the test results.
